3 Memorable Takeaways From HubSpot Developer Day
As the unofficial grand finale of the Inbound 2017 conference in Boston, HubSpot’s Developer Day provided a ton of fun, exciting new software features, product updates and also camaraderie.
It was well worth the time, and I gained so many takeaways from the event that I can’t cover everything that was discussed in a single blog post!
Instead, I will give you my top three takeaways from this year’s Developer Day.
3 Things I Learned From HubSpot Developer Day
1. HubSpot listens to what we, the users, have to say.
HubSpot rolled out a plethora of new features this year and most of them launched because of requests from users like you and me.
HubSpot is continually updating its software and always taking into consideration the feelings of their user base, so if there are issues you would like addresses or new features you would like to see in future installments, be sure to send HubSpot an email letting them know why that update would be beneficial.
Odds are, if the update would be useful for you, many other users would find it helpful as well, so don’t be shy about letting HubSpot’s team know what you would like to see.
2. Networking is much easier to do at Developer Day.
I know there are fewer people to network with at Developer Day since it’s mainly geared toward developers, but the small, intimate setting makes it easier to have real conversations with people from HubSpot and developers from different companies.
I personally believe one of the main benefits of attending Inbound are the networking opportunities, and there is no better time to do this than during Developer Day.
3. The HubSpot community is more helpful than any other company I’ve interacted with.
From my fellow developers and Inbound attendees to the HubSpot team members themselves, I challenge anyone to find a group of people or a company that is more willing to help you succeed than HubSpot.
The guest presenters at Developer Day delivered insightful knowledge and solutions for problems they thought would benefit everyone.
The HubSpot team spent the entire day, and several days afterwards, navigating us through Slack and email communications so we all stayed connected.
No one else that I’ve ever met has been as professional or as accessible and willing to assist as the HubSpot community from Developer Day.
I encourage all developers or companies who use HubSpot to attend Developer Day. It will give you a new perspective on what the HubSpot culture is truly like.
You will walk away from Developer Day with a renewed sense of pride in knowing you are involved with a company that truly cares about its customers and takes action when they need to.
